Williams & Connolly partners Lisa Blatt, Heidi Hubbard, Enu Mainigi, and Katherine Turner have once again been selected for Benchmark Litigation’s “Top 250 Women in Litigation.” The publication also recognized Lisa Blatt and Heidi Hubbard among the “Top 10 Women in Litigation.” Both lists honor the most accomplished female litigators in the country, selected through in-depth research including case victories, peer reviews, and client comments.
Lisa Blatt has argued 54 cases before the United States Supreme Court, addressing a broad range of issues, including First Amendment, arbitration, antitrust, civil procedure, preemption, employment and ERISA, and bankruptcy. Bloomberg has described her as a “legendary high court litigator” while The National Journal likewise has referred to her as a “SCOTUS legend.” Chambers USA (2021-2025) has recognized Lisa as one of five “Star Individuals” in Appellate Litigation and reports that clients describe her as “a superstar and one of the best Supreme Court litigators out there” and “a wonderful advocate and a dynamite litigator.” Lisa serves as chair of Williams & Connolly’s Supreme Court and Appellate Litigation practice.
Heidi Hubbard, a fellow of the American College of Trial Lawyers, tries cases in federal and state courts throughout the country. Ranked in Band 1 for Trial Lawyers by Chambers USA (2022-2025), clients describe Heidi as an “enormously talented trial lawyer,” having “warmth and empathy,” while “also incredibly logical, deliberate and thoughtful.” Heidi currently co-chairs Williams & Connolly’s Products Liability, Torts & Medicine practice group.
Enu Mainigi is a nationally recognized trial lawyer with over 25 years of experience in commercial and governmental litigation in the health care and financial services areas. She is one of the most sought-after trial lawyers in the country, as reflected by the fact that she tried six major trials within the past year. Chambers USA has ranked Enu in Band 1 for Commercial Litigation, False Claims Act Litigation, Healthcare, and Trials, noting that she “wins impressive praise from clients,” who describe her as “a go-to person, a powerhouse” with “a tremendous record in her cases,” “really strategic” and “business savvy,” and a “rockstar of the first order.” Enu serves as co-chair of the firm’s Health Care Fraud and False Claims Act and Qui Tam practice groups.
Katherine Turner serves as co-chair of Williams & Connolly’s Accountant Liability and Congressional Investigations practice groups and recently completed a term on the Firm’s Executive Committee. Ranked in Band 1 by Chambers USA for Accountant and Auditor Liability, Katherine has extensive experience in defending accounting firms in professional liability litigation and regulatory matters, including work for three of the Big Four firms and a prominent national accounting firm. Katherine also has significant experience representing clients in congressional investigations, including representation of Secretary Hillary Rodham Clinton before the House Select Committee on Benghazi and a recent representation of a government official in a matter before the House Committee on Oversight and Reform.
