- Lead trial counsel for rising biopharmaceutical company in trade secrets litigation in N.D. Ill.
- Lead trial counsel for the acquiring party in W.D.N.C. federal court antitrust preliminary injunction trial in 2024. The trial court ruled in favor of Heidi’s client and denied the preliminary injunction (a ruling that was subsequently paused by a panel of the Fourth Circuit).
- Lead trial counsel for the defense in a multi-week class action trial over antitrust / patent claims in federal court in Chicago. The jury returned a verdict for Heidi’s client. The trial victory was named “Impact Case of the Year (Non-IP)” by LMG Life Sciences.
- Lead trial counsel for the defense in state court in Wilmington, DE, in the trial-to-verdict of a commercial dispute involving claims in excess of $400 million. After summary judgment for Heidi’s client on trade secrets claims, the jury returned a defense verdict on the contract claims, thereby resolving all claims in favor of her client.
- Lead trial counsel in a 2-month bench trial in S.D.N.Y., defending against $1 billion+ in fraud and civil RICO claims. The case resolved after conclusion of the trial and while awaiting the court’s decision.
- Lead trial counsel for a life sciences company in an antitrust case set for an 8-week jury trial in N.D. Cal. The case resolved four days before jury selection.
- Lead trial counsel for a global wealth management firm in a confidential, binding arbitration (in NYC) of discrimination claims. The arbitrator returned a decision in favor of Heidi’s client on all claims.
- Lead trial counsel for a Fortune 100 company in a confidential, binding arbitration (in CA) of products liability claims. Two weeks after the arbitration, the arbitrator returned a decision for Heidi’s client on all claims.
- Heidi also tried a pharmaceutical products liability jury trial (in D. Mass.) that resulted in a defense verdict in favor of her client, marking the first time the client had prevailed on the adequacy of the warning for the injury at issue.
- Heidi tried a $500+ million commercial dispute (in S.D.N.Y.) involving a failed securitization, resulting in a defense judgment in favor of her client.
Heidi has tried cases in New York, Philadelphia, Boston, Wilmington, St. Louis, Charlotte, and Chicago, as well as venues in California, Nevada, and Utah.
