James Kirkpatrick received his Juris Doctor, magna cum laude, from the Georgetown University Law Center.  While in law school, he represented several indigent criminal defendants and parolees as a student attorney in the Georgetown Criminal Justice Clinic.  As part of his clinical work, James successfully first-chaired a misdemeanor jury trial in District of Columbia Superior Court.  During law school, James also served as a Notes Editor on the Georgetown Law Journal, the Managing Director of the Georgetown Barristers’ Council, and a Peer Advisor to first-year law students.
