Protecting Digital Assets from Theft – Lessons Learned from Litigation

February 2019

Data, in its many forms, is often a company’s most significant asset. Companies are putting more and more of that data online—either because their business model requires it, in the case of information providers, or because it lowers transaction costs and increases efficiency.  But making data available online has a dark side—opening up that data to digital theft.

Join the Association of Corporate Counsel National Capital Region (ACC NCR) and Williams & Connolly on January 23rd, 2019, for a lively and practical session addressing how to protect digital assets from theft.  Partners Nick Boyle and David Riskin will be joined by Jaye Campbell, Deputy General Counsel-Head of Litigation at CoStar Group, to discuss real-world examples of how they have sought to protect digital assets and the lessons learned from litigation—including how to prevent digital theft, how to develop evidence of digital theft, and the continuum of options a company has when faced with theft.
