The Leadership Council on Legal Diversity (“LCLD”) has selected Williams & Connolly partner Liat Rome to participate in its 2026 Fellows Program and associates Andrew Guiang and Armani Madison for its Pathfinder Program.
The LCLD Fellows Program provides high-potential, mid-career attorneys with professional and personal development opportunities, leadership training, relationship-building resources, and access to LCLD Members (Managing Partners and General Counsel). Designed for high-potential, early-career attorneys, the LCLD Pathfinder Program offers a year-long journey that builds leadership skills, fosters meaningful connections, and enhances career development.
Liat Rome handles all types of civil and criminal litigation, at all stages. Her civil practice has covered a broad range of substantive areas, including products liability, environmental and mass tort, consumer fraud, trade secrets, and antitrust litigation. She has litigated high-stakes disputes across a variety of industries, including pharmaceutical medications, medical devices, health care, fire protection, and automotives. Liat also has significant experience in both civil and criminal appellate matters, including arguing before the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Ninth Circuit and the Maryland Court of Special Appeals. She has also represented both white collar and pro bono criminal defendants in trial and appellate proceedings, including before the United States Supreme Court.
Andrew Guiang received his J.D. from Cornell Law School and his B.S.F.S. from Georgetown University. Andrew clerked for Judge James B. Loken of the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Eighth Circuit and Judge Brian M. Cogan of the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of New York. Before attending law school, Andrew spent four years working as a teacher through Teach for America.
Armani Madison received his J.D. from Harvard Law School and his B.A. from Brown University. Armani clerked for Judge Charles R. Wilson, U.S. Court of Appeals for the Eleventh Circuit and then-Chief Judge Algenon L. Marbley, U.S. District Court for the Southern District of Ohio. Armani also served as a law clerk to Senator Sheldon Whitehouse on the U.S. Senate Committee on the Judiciary.
