Williams & Connolly has been named the recipient of the “Impact Case of the Year” award by Managing IP at the 2021 Managing IP Annual Awards for its work on United States Patent & Trademark Office v. Booking.com, where the Supreme Court ruled 8-1 in favor of firm client Booking.com that the addition of “.com” to a generic term can create a protectable trademark.
