Diversity & Flexibility Alliance Recognizes Williams & Connolly for “Tipping the Scales” Towards Gender Parity in New Partner Classes

Williams & Connolly has been recognized by the Diversity & Flexibility Alliance for “Tipping the Scales” towards gender parity in new partner classes.  The award recognizes 46 firms for having 50% or more women in their 2020 new partner classes.  “By promoting equal numbers of men and women to partner, these firms have signaled their commitment to gender parity and their understanding of the value that women in leadership brings to their firm and clients,” said Manar Morales, President & CEO of the Diversity & Flexibility Alliance.

Williams & Connolly recognizes diversity and inclusion as core values and an integral part of how the firm functions.  The Williams & Connolly Women’s Initiative, chaired by partners Katherine Turner and Amanda MacDonald, focuses on the recruitment, retention, and advancement of women. The objectives of the Women’s Initiative include advancing the professional development of women attorneys, encouraging mentorship and sponsorship by our partners, strengthening the internal and external network of our women, and supporting legal and business development skills.
