Lisa Blatt Talks Texas Roots, Law School and Career with The Texas Lawbook

On August 3, 2020, partner Lisa Blatt was featured in The Texas Lawbook article “Record-Breaking SCOTUS Advocate Lisa Blatt Talks Texas.”  The article delves into a wide variety of topics, including Lisa’s Texas roots, her experiences through law school and clerkships, her tenure at Williams & Connolly thus far, and how all of these things have shaped her to become the powerhouse attorney she is today.   

Lisa Blatt serves as Chair of Williams & Connolly’s Supreme Court and Appellate practice.  She has argued 40 cases before the United States Supreme Court, prevailing in 37*. The National Law Journal has called her a "visionary" and one of "the 100 most influential lawyers in America."  Bloomberg has described her as a "legendary high court litigator," while The National Journal likewise has referred to her as a "SCOTUS legend."  Lisa made history in May of this year, when she presented oral argument to the Supreme Court in the first case in the Court’s history to be argued remotely.
