Daniel's practice focuses on complex civil litigation where he has represented clients at all stages of litigation. Daniel has taken and defended dozens of depositions—including fact, expert, and corporate representative witnesses—argued motions and jury instruction issues at trial, worked extensively with expert witnesses, and examined witnesses at arbitration. Though all cases vary and none are predictive, Daniel's recent trial and arbitration experience includes a three-week civil RICO trial that resulted in a jury verdict in favor of his clients, a leading financial services company and a law firm, and a weeklong defamation arbitration that resulted in a successful verdict for his client. His experience spans multiple practice areas, including antitrust and products liability, and a variety of industries, including technology companies, consumer finance, and medical component manufacturers. Daniel also has extensive pro bono experience, including successfully co-chairing an asylum hearing for a family fleeing gang violence in Central America, drafting multiple amicus briefs filed with the United States Supreme Court, and obtaining a civil protective order for a client in D.C. Superior Court.

Prior to joining the firm, Daniel clerked for Judge Stanley Marcus on the United States Court of Appeals for the Eleventh Circuit. Daniel graduated magna cum laude from Duke Law School, where he served on the Duke Law Journal, Mock Trial Board, and Moot Court Board. As part of a four-person team, he won the school's Twiggs-Beskind mock trial tournament for 1L students. He also coached Duke's undergraduate mock trial team for 3 years while in law school.
