On November 11, 2025, Williams & Connolly senior counsel John Buckley will be a featured speaker at the American Bar Association's Dispute Resolution Section Arbitration Committee meeting. He will join senior representatives from AAA/ICDR, ICC, and JAMS on a panel titled “Ad Hoc vs. Administered Arbitrations: The Administrators' Perspective.”
The panelists will share their institutional and personal perspectives on the advantages and disadvantages of both administered and non-administered arbitrations, including insights into the various current non-administered arbitration rules.
John, a partner in the firm for almost four decades, founded and led the firm’s International Arbitration practice group. He now acts as independent arbitrator in international and domestic arbitrations. A Fellow of the College of Commercial Arbitrators and the Chartered Institute of Arbitrators, he has served as chair, sole arbitrator, and co-arbitrator in institutional (AAA, ICDR, ICC and CPR) and ad hoc arbitrations.
