On October 24, 2023, partner John Williams and a co-presenter spoke on a panel titled “Derivatives and Professional Responsibility: Ethics of Negotiation” at the Advanced Swaps & Other Derivatives 2023 conference, hosted by the Practising Law Institute. They discussed the Rules of Professional Responsibility as applied to issues that commonly arise in negotiations.
John Williams practices in the area of complex civil litigation with a particular focus on securities litigation, professional liability defense, and appellate work. John’s securities practice has involved the representation of issuers, private equity firms, underwriters, professional advisers, and individuals. John’s cases have included successful representations of clients at all levels of the federal courts, including the Supreme Court of the United States, as well as favorable negotiated resolutions.
