Partner John Villa will present at the 22nd Annual Legal Malpractice & Risk Management Conference (“LMRM”) to be held on March 7-9, 2023, in Chicago, Illinois. The conference is a mainstay of the legal malpractice defense bar, general counsels of major law firms, and the insurance carriers who provide coverage for law firms. It focuses upon important developments in the law, litigation of legal malpractice claims, legal malpractice insurance, professional responsibility, and risk management strategies. On Wednesday, March 8, from 1:30-2:20 PM, John will speak on a panel titled “Arbitrating Legal Malpractice Claims: The Good, The Bad and The Ugly,” which is devoted to the consideration of benefits and drawbacks of the arbitral forum in the defense of legal malpractice cases.
John serves as co-chair of the firm’s Financial Services and Banking practice group and focuses his practice on corporate, securities and financial services related litigation, and legal malpractice defense.
