Brendan Sullivan, Robert Cary, and other members of the late Senator Ted Stevens’ legal team at Williams & Connolly were honored by The Constitution Project at its annual Constitutional Champions Gala on Thursday, April 24, 2014 in Washington, DC. The event honored individuals who have, in the face of adversity, stood up for the American ideals of liberty, justice, and the rule of law and fought to defend our nation’s Constitution and the rights it guarantees.
The late Senator Ted Stevens’ legal team won the “Constitutional Champions” award for insisting that prosecutors in the Stevens corruption trial “fulfill their constitutional obligation to disclose exculpatory evidence" resulting in exposure of wrongdoing at the U.S. Department of Justice.
