Partner Deneen Howell represented Kwame Alexander in his forthcoming middle-grade three-part graphic novel series The Brain Stormerz. The first book in the series by Kwame Alexander, Cassidy Dyce and Rashad Doucet was acquired by Little, Brown and Company and will be published in the summer of 2025.
Deneen is a highly skilled negotiator adept at guiding her clients to achieve what they’re worth and obtain the flexibility they need to meet their goals. Her practice includes helping authors secure book deals; advising former government officials, senior executives, public speakers, broadcasters and journalists in their professional pursuits; and counseling privately held businesses and non-profit organizations in employment and publishing-related matters. Her leadership positions at the firm involve Co-Chairing both Williams & Connolly’s Transactions and Business Counseling practice group as well as its Employment Counseling practice group, and Chairing the firm’s Budget Committee.
