On June 23, 2022, after a three-week trial, a federal jury in Greenbelt, MD acquitted Williams & Connolly client Donnie Amis on all counts of an indictment charging conspiracies to defraud the United States, violate the Anti-Kickback statute, and commit healthcare and mail fraud. Mr.Amis' co-defendant, Kasandra Vilchez-Duarte, who was represented by the Federal Public Defender, was also acquitted.
