Partner Deneen Howell recently sold world rights to Penguin Random House for former President Barack Obama and Bruce Springsteen’s book, “Renegades: Born in the USA,” which will be released on October 26th. Building on the pair’s podcast series released earlier this year, the book is described as “a collection of candid, intimate, and entertaining conversations between the two.” Deneen previously represented former President Obama and former first lady Michelle Obama during contract negotiations with publishers for their respective book deals.
Deneen regularly represents non-fiction authors such as former Secretary of State Madeleine Albright, Senator Tammy Duckworth and Congressman John Lewis in crafting book proposals and negotiating the resulting publishing and ancillary agreements.
