The American Lawyer Ranks Williams & Connolly Among Top Pro Bono Firms

Williams & Connolly ranked #27 among the Am Law 200 firms recognized by The American Lawyer’s 2020 “Pro Bono Scorecard.”  The annual scorecard ranks Am Law 200 firms by their pro bono score for work performed by U.S.-based lawyers.  In 2019, our partners, counsel, and associates performed an average of 109 hours of pro bono work, and more than half performed more than 20 hours of pro bono work.      
 
Over the last year, Williams & Connolly lawyers performed pro bono work on a wide range of matters, including securing a victory for two Honduran refugees in Baltimore Immigration Court, winning an appeal for a U.S. Army veteran before the Court Appeals for Veterans’ Claims, and filing a successful petition for certiorari before the U.S. Supreme Court on behalf of a former railroad worker.*
