Meg Keeley has been elected to the Board of Directors of the Attorneys’ Liability Assurance Society (“ALAS”). Founded in 1979 with the goal of creating a lawyers’ professional liability insurance company that provides a partnership with its law firms going beyond any typical broker-insurer sales relationship, ALAS is the country’s largest lawyer-owned mutual, insuring 214 premier law firms with over 65,500 lawyers located around the world.
Meg is Co-Chair of Williams & Connolly’s Law Firm Defense practice group. She has defended major law firms in legal malpractice and other professional liability matters, including malpractice suits arising in intellectual property matters. In the last two years alone, she has represented seven of the Am Law 100 firms, including defending one in a jury trial.
