Clay Phillips focuses his practice on administrative law, complex civil matters, and appellate litigation. Clay has experience in a broad array of substantive areas, including First Amendment law, contract and commercial disputes, products liability, and regulatory litigation. He has represented clients at every stage of litigation, from pre-suit investigations to discovery, trial, and appeal. Clay has worked on matters in the United States Supreme Court and federal and state appellate and trial courts throughout the country, including presenting oral argument as counsel of record in the United States Court of Appeals for the Eleventh Circuit. Prior to joining the firm, Clay clerked for Judge Jerry E. Smith of the United States Court of Appeals for the Fifth Circuit and then for Judge Kevin C. Newsom of the United States Court of Appeals for the Eleventh Circuit.
