Overview
Washingtonian has once again selected Williams & Connolly partner Lisa Blatt for its 2026 list of the “Most Powerful Women in Washington.” The list features 300 women across the region in politics, government, business, the arts, law, media, education, and nonprofits who are “making things happen—influencing a piece of the world, pulling levers, building things, bringing people together, effecting change,” according to the magazine.
Earlier in September 2026, Forbes named Lisa among its select lists of “America’s Top Lawyers” and “America’s Top Women Lawyers.” Lisa serves as Chair of Williams & Connolly’s Supreme Court and Appellate Litigation practice and has argued 57 cases before the United States Supreme Court with an 81% win rate in cases decided.*
The National Law Journal has called her a “visionary” and one of “the 100 most influential lawyers in America.” Bloomberg has described her as a “legendary high court litigator” and The National Journal has likewise referred to her as a “SCOTUS legend.” In 2021, The American Lawyer recognized Lisa as the “Litigator of the Year.”
