On June 22, 2026, Williams & Connolly won summary judgment for CVS in a False Claims Act (“FCA”) whistleblower lawsuit concerning the company’s cold-chain shipping practices for temperature-sensitive drugs. Several times, the government indicated that it leaned toward intervention, but in August 2022, the government announced its decision not to intervene. CVS moved to dismiss the relator’s complaint and was successful in narrowing the claims. In June 2026, the Pennsylvania federal court ordered summary judgment in CVS's favor.
The Williams & Connolly team representing CVS included Enu Mainigi, Holly Conley, and Ben Hazelwood.
