Williams & Connolly partners Craig Singer and Bill Burke spoke on October 27, 2026, at the Fall 2026 Legal Opinion Seminar in New York hosted by the Working Group on Legal Opinions. Craig and Bill presented on the topic “Current Ethics Issues Affecting Opinion Practitioners,” which focused on the legal ethics rules that come into play when a lawyer departs a law firm to join another firm. Separately, Craig also presented on the panel “How Insurance Relates to Defense of an Opinion Claim,” where the discussion focused on the ways in which insurance influences the defense of an opinion claim.
