Overview
Matt is an associate at Williams & Connolly whose practice focuses on complex commercial litigation as well as government and internal investigations. He has represented an array of clients, from individuals and nonprofits to Fortune 500 companies, in high-stakes litigation and arbitration at the trial and appellate levels. Matt has been a member of several trial teams, successfully argued motions in multiple venues across the country, first-chaired numerous depositions, and taken the lead in drafting a variety of substantive motions and briefs.
Before joining Williams & Connolly, Matt clerked for the Honorable Judge Joshua Wolson of the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Pennsylvania and for the Honorable Barbara Lagoa on the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Eleventh Circuit. He also spent two years at another prominent law firm in Washington, D.C. He has also been a lecturer at the George Washington University Law School, where he taught legal writing. Before attending law school, he attended business school and played professional volleyball.
