PROGRAM DESCRIPTION: This program highlights the importance of protecting client data for attorneys. It begins with a discussion of the D.C. Rules of Professional Conduct’s obligations to keep client information confidential and how the rules apply to a client’s electronic data. This program will teach attorneys how to classify data and the attorneys will learn the steps that they need to take in order to protect data in order to keep all client information confidential, according to both the professional conduct rules and a variety of federal and state laws.
