Lisa Blatt Authors “Reflections of a Lady Lawyer” in Texas Law Review

February 2020

Partner Lisa Blatt authored an article titled “Reflections of a Lady Lawyer” published in a special joint law review issue sponsored by law reviews from the sixteen “top” law schools in the country.  The issue commemorates 2019 for being the first time in history that the Editors-in-Chief of each of the sponsoring law reviews was a woman, and each law review sponsored an essay on the topic of women and the law.  Drawing from Lisa’s experiences as Assistant to the Solicitor General as well as her successful career in private practice at Williams & Connolly, the article features a frank discussion about gender dynamics in the legal profession, legal career wisdom, and the reality of work-life balance.

Lisa Blatt serves as Chair of Williams & Connolly’s Supreme Court and Appellate practice.  Lisa has argued 39 cases before the United States Supreme Court, prevailing in 34 (3 pending) – more than any other woman in history.  The National Law Journal has called her a "visionary" and one of "the 100 most influential lawyers in America."
