Chris Suarez recently spoke at the ABA Section of Science & Technology Law’s annual Internet of Things (IoT) National Institute in Washington, D.C. on March 27th. Chris was a speaker on the panel “Where do IoT’s Building Blocks Stand? (5G, Standards, Software, and the Law),” which examined the current legal status and development strategies relating to 5G, standards to promote the interoperability of devices, and software licensing.
Chris’s speaking engagement coincided with the release of a new book entitled The Internet of Things (IoT): Legal Issues, Policy, and Practical Strategies, which Chris co-edited. The book dissects the wide range of legal and policy issues that will arise as the IoT evolves.
