Benchmark Litigation Recognizes Williams & Connolly Partners

Each year, Benchmark Litigation recognizes a select group of attorneys consistently referenced by peers and clients as “Future Stars.” In its 2022 edition, Benchmark Litigation named the following Williams & Connolly partners to its “Future Stars” list:

Ben Greenblum focuses his practice in complex civil litigation, with an emphasis on antitrust and intellectual property disputes. Ben litigates on behalf of corporations and individuals in federal and state courts across the country, and has served as defense counsel in several multidistrict litigation and other complex proceedings.

Jon Landy, co-chair of the firm’s International Disputes practice, focuses his practice on international and domestic arbitrations.  He has experience before many of the world’s leading arbitral institutions in matters spanning a range of jurisdictional laws and subject matters, including an increasing emphasis in recent years on patent-licensing disputes.  Jon’s experience in these matters has involved a range of industries—pharmaceuticals, medical devices, semiconductors, and mobile telephony—and a wide array of factual, legal, and expert areas.

Amanda MacDonald co-chairs Williams & Connolly’s Securities Litigation and Securities Enforcement practice groups and is a leader in the firm’s investigations practice.  Amanda has defended Fortune 100 issuers, underwriters, Big 4 accounting firms, and corporate officers in securities litigation, class actions, and investigations and enforcement actions by the Department of Justice, the Securities and Exchange Commission, and the Public Company Accounting Oversight Board.  She also regularly partners with in-house compliance departments to lead internal investigations into compliance and whistleblower allegations. Amanda co-chairs the Firm’s Women’s Initiative, a group she co-founded in 2015.

Jess Rydstrom litigates complex civil cases, with an emphasis on commercial and patent litigation and products liability defense. Jess has tried cases in federal and state courts, in arbitration, and across a variety of industries. Jess has represented corporations, professional firms, and individuals in a broad range of cases, at both the trial and appellate levels, and in regulatory and congressional investigations. She has experience in a range of substantive areas, including commercial disputes, products liability, intellectual property and licensing litigation, legal and accounting malpractice, and qui tam actions.

Beth Stewart’s practice focuses on white collar criminal defense and complex civil litigation. Beth has had several trials and appellate arguments in both federal and state courts. Beth’s criminal defense and enforcement work on behalf of both individuals and corporations has included representing a former CEO of a mortgage company in an SEC enforcement action, representing a corporation in a foreign corrupt practices investigation, and representing a former president of a foreign country in extradition proceedings. Beth’s work has also included several pro bono criminal defense matters. Beth’s civil practice has included representations of both individuals and corporations in matters ranging from employment to complex securities and financial services litigation.  Most recently, she serves as lead counsel in a series of coordinated civil actions, and also represents a Fortune 10 financial institution in complex litigation arising from the residential mortgage crisis.
