Williams & Connolly Elects Two New Partners

Williams & Connolly is pleased to announce the election of two attorneys to its partnership, effective January 1, 2019.

The two new partners include:

David Randall J. Riskin – An experienced commercial litigator at both the trial and appellate level, David Riskin manages complex matters in state and federal courts, with a particular focus on defending professional liability and conflict-of-interests claims against law firms.  He engages all aspects of a matter by developing case themes, building expert strategies, preparing and defending key witnesses, and designing early-stage litigation strategies resulting in pre-trial dismissals and favorable settlements.  David’s broader commercial litigation experience has spanned a variety of industries, including financial services and securities, commercial real estate, medical devices, aerospace, healthcare, and technology.  And he has represented individuals in civil, criminal, and governmental proceedings, both domestically and abroad. 

Adrienne E. Van Winkle – Adrienne has litigated a wide variety of complex civil matters before state and federal courts.  She also has extensive experience in arbitration, including cases before AAA, JAMS, and CPR.  Adrienne’s practices focuses on professional liability defense, financial services litigation, copyright, and trade secret.  She has defended a “Big Four” accounting firm in a three-week arbitration against claims seeking damages of hundreds of millions of dollars, and recently has represented clients before the Public Company Accounting Oversight Board.  Adrienne has experience with all aspects of litigation, including dispositive motions practice, discovery, and trial.  She has argued numerous trial court motions and recently successfully argued a motion for summary judgment.
