Akhil received his Juris Doctor, magna cum laude, from Georgetown University Law Center and his B.A. from the University of Virginia. While at Georgetown, he served as Editor-in-Chief of the Georgetown Law Journal’s Annual Review of Criminal Procedure and was a legal research and writing teaching assistant. Prior to joining Williams & Connolly, Akhil clerked for Judge J. Frederick Motz of the United States District Court for the District of Maryland and for Judge D. Michael Fisher of the United States Court of Appeals for the Third Circuit. He also spent six years in technology consulting prior to graduating from law school.
Representative Experience
Though all cases vary and none is predictive, Akhil's experience includes:
- Representation of a biotechnology company in an antitrust lawsuit alleging generic blocking, before the U.S. District Court for the District of New Jersey
- Representation of a leading manufacturer of laboratory diagnostic equipment and related testing materials which brought suit against a contractual counterparty alleging that the parties’ contract unfairly restrains trade
- Defense of a major telecommunications company in False Claims Act litigation brought by the New York Attorney General
