Identified as one of "Washington's Top Lawyers" by Washingtonian magazine (December 2004), Whit Peters is experienced in complex civil and criminal litigation, as well as in issues relating to national security and the Defense Department.
During the Clinton Administration, Mr. Peters was Secretary of the Air Force, Under Secretary and Acting Secretary of the Air Force, and Principal Deputy General Counsel of the Department of Defense.
Mr. Peters has written and spoken on defense policy issues, acquisition reform, legal ethics, and criminal law issues. He served as Chair of the District of Columbia Bar Committee on the Rules of Professional Conduct and as a member of its Ethics Committee. He has been an adjunct professor at Georgetown University Law School and the Columbus School of Law at Catholic University.
