Williams & Connolly Recognized as one of the Top Law Firms for Women According to Harvard Study
September 2006

Williams & Connolly received high marks both nationally and in Washington, D.C. in a survey released earlier this month of how female attorneys view the treatment of women in their own firms. Williams & Connolly ranked second in Washington, D.C. and fourth in the nation in the report, "Presumed Equal: What America's Top Women Lawyers Really Think About Their Firms." The survey, conducted by Harvard Law School's Women's Law Association, was sent to 16,000 female attorneys at the nation's 105 largest law firms. The purpose of the study was to provide a candid snapshot of the professional life of women attorneys working at some of the nation's most prominent law firms. It asked women lawyers to rate their firms on issues such as work-life balance, mentoring, diversity, and business development, and advancement opportunities.
