Malachi Jones concentrates his practice on criminal defense and general civil litigation. Mr. Jones has represented clients in criminal matters involving allegations of gambling, money laundering, false statements, civil rights violations, and tax offenses, among others. His civil practice has involved representing a wide array of corporate and institutional clients in state courts, federal courts, and arbitration proceedings around the country. These representations have involved claims in the areas of products liability, securities enforcement, legal malpractice, medical malpractice, real estate disputes, hotel management disputes, civil rights, trade secrets, and international banking. He has significant trial experience, including having first chaired trials in federal court. Mr. Jones spent five years with the U.S. Department of Justice as a federal civil rights prosecutor, gaining grand jury and trial experience in high profile matters in several jurisdictions around the country. He is a member of the Board of Trustees of the Lawyers' Committee for Civil Rights Under Law.
