| Jonathan Landy has an active trial and arbitration practice that has spanned a wide array of subject matters and substantive legal areas. Mr. Landy has represented both individual and corporate clients, and has practiced in trial and appellate courts throughout the United States and before arbitral panels here and abroad.
At the trial level, in a representative case Mr. Landy participated in the successful defense of an electronics manufacturer, in a jury trial in the Eastern District of Virginia, against a $400 million trade-secret misappropriation claim. In his arbitration practice, in a representative case Mr. Landy participated in the successful prosecution of claims on behalf of a private equity fund to vindicate its minority shareholder rights in an Indian telecommunications company.
Mr. Landy also has extensive experience representing and counseling corporate clients in connection with state Attorney General inquiries, Federal Trade Commission investigations, and federal grand jury proceedings.
Mr. Landy joined Williams & Connolly LLP in 1999, and became a partner in 2007. Before joining the firm, Mr. Landy was a law clerk to Judge Louis F. Oberdorfer of the United States District Court for the District of Columbia.
