| Glenn Pfadenhauer's practice focuses on representing corporations in complex civil litigation, particularly intellectual property disputes. His civil trial experience includes bench trials and jury trials in federal and state courts. A substantial portion of his recent work has been patent disputes in the pharmaceutical, computer and medical device fields. Mr. Pfadenhauer has served as lead trial counsel on behalf of patent owners and accused infringers in cases in federal courts around the country. In addition to serving as lead counsel at trial, Mr. Pfadenhauer has extensive experience in conducting Markman hearings and preliminary injunction proceedings, and has argued appeals in the Federal Circuit.
Mr. Pfadenhauer also regularly advises pharmaceutical clients about the provisions of the Hatch-Waxman Act and related patent litigation and has lectured about these topics before industry groups. He also has served as a Master in the Giles S. Rich American Inn of Court.
In addition to his extensive civil litigation experience, Mr. Pfadenhauer has represented corporations and individuals in criminal matters initiated by the Department of Justice, various U.S. Attorney's offices, and Independent Counsel.
Mr. Pfadenhauer joined Williams & Connolly LLP in 1987, and has been a partner since 1996. He served as Chair of the firm's Hiring Committee from 2005 through 2007.
