Sean Douglass focuses on civil litigation, trial work, and First Amendment and media law.  He represents companies and individuals in high-stakes matters and has appeared in state and federal courts across the country.  Sean has experience with all aspects of litigation, including early-stage strategies, discovery, dispositive motions, and trial.

Before joining the firm, Sean worked on national security issues at the Department of Justice’s Office of Legal Policy.  He also served as a Law Clerk to Judge Leonie M. Brinkema of the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Virginia and to Judge Barbara Milano Keenan of the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Fourth Circuit.  Sean received his J.D. from Georgetown University and his B.A. from the University of Virginia.
